K emppi has announced the launch of a completely renewed MasterTig product family. Designed for profes- sional users, the MasterTig range offers a choice of power variants of 230 and 300 A models, which will be comple- mented in 2020 with 400 and 500 A units. The newMasterTig products carry numerous enhancements that raise the user experienceand thepower efficiency to new levels. MasterTig is already a familiar name in Kemppi’s product selection, but the MasterTig range is now reborn. It has not only been upgraded, but a completely newwelding machine has been created for professional welders doing ac and dc TIG and MMA welding. MasterTig equipment has been designed from the perspective of the ordinarywelder, but the products them- selves are far from the ordinary. Thanks to theirmodular design, welders can cre- ate their own setup to fit welding needs perfectly. A range of MasterTig power models, alternative user interface, re- mote control options, transport carts and torches can be chosen to produce

a highly customised unit. MasterTig comes with three control panel options: two membrane panels with push buttons, and an interactive MTP35X panel featuring a 7-inch TFT colour display and an illustrative graphi- cal interface. If the chosen MasterTig is equipped with the MTP35X control panel, welders need not worry about the right parameter settings. Awizard-likeWeldAssist function can be launched and followed via simple on-screen steps. By selecting mate- rial, thickness, joint type and welding position, Weld Assist sets the best parameters for the particular welding task. It also gives recommendations for electrode size, filler wire, gas flow, groove type, pass profile and travel speed. This makes for ideal support for WPS development.

Optima AC is a customisedwaveform that combines the best of the traditional sine and square waveforms. It improves welding quality and reduces the noise level in ac TIG welding by 20%. Flexlite TX welding torches Launched with the MasterTig product family, Kemppi also introduced new Flexlite TX torches, which feature high- strength, flexible moulded handles for increased comfort and lower welder fatigue. Silicone rubber material in the handle gives a firm grip and the in- novative design reduces wrist loading, allowing the welder to concentrate on the perfect weld. Ready equipped to fit MasterTig in ei- ther gas orwater-cooledmodels, Flexlite TX torches are available in alternative power classes and lengths. www.arindustrial.co.za
