Fronius has expanded its TIG rangewithpractical, powerful and quiet MagicWave 230i, 190 andTransTig 230i power sources, all with intuitive menu navigation for easy parameter selection. Practical, powerful and quiet: Fronius’ new TIG series

W hether in pipeline or container construction, for processing stainless steel or vehicle repair andmaintenance – the new Fronius TIG welding systems have a whole range of uses. These new machines include a particularly novel built-in advantage: they can communicate with other de- vices ormachines – via Bluetooth, WLAN and NFC (near-field communication) technology – and networkedwith them. The most powerful power source in the range is the MagicWave 230i for ac- or dc-welding, while the smaller and

more compact MagicWave 190, also an ac/dc machine, is ideal for welding lighter sec- tion aluminium, steel and stainless steel. Both Fronius MagicWave power sources rely on ActiveWave technology, which relies on a high frequency switch- ing tomake ac TIGweldingmuchquieter and much easier to control. An integral part of the new series is the TransTig 230i for dc welding. Weigh- ing just 15.9 kg, this unit is an exception- ally light manual power source suitable for all welding applications apart from aluminium. Aswith theMagicWave 230i, the power source can also be supplied with an optional water-cooling system. Using Bluetooth, WLAN and NFC, the TransTig 230i can also connect wire- lessly to devices such as an intelligent welding helmet, remote control or even a smartphone. Optimum user customisability The multilingual operating concept of the new range with 4.3-inch full-colour displays allows for intuitiveandextreme- ly simple operation.
