Cummins breaks ground for new premises at Waterfall Cummins Southern Africa has announced the relocation of its Southern Africa Distribution Business to Waterfall Logistics Precinct – Gauteng’s new innovative work, live and play destination in Waterfall, Midrand. is of critical importance to our business as it positions us at the epicentre of Gauteng’s most dynamic and strategical- ly located business hub. The new premises will form part of the Waterfall connected hub which offers a fully-integrated lifestyle that embraces the ultimate work-life balance. Waterfall Logistics Precinct is fast shaping up to become a new CBD, linking Sandton to Waterfall. Cummins is looking to strategically con- solidate and solidify its various business premises in support of its position as Af- rica’s preferred energy and power provider. In pursuit of greater customer service and to reinforce the Cummins Africa Middle East vision to get closer to customers and improve efficiencies in a collaborative man- ner, the company is building new premises in the highly acclaimed business area. “We are celebrating the start of the jour- ney towards our new offices as we break ground for construction to commence. The new premises, developed in line with Waterfall’s sustainability approach and principles, will include the Cummins Southern Africa Regional Operations, the Master Rebuild Centre, the current Cummins Longmeadow Branch and the Technical Training Centre. It will have spacious premises of approximately 15 355 m². The long-awaited state-of-the-art building is due for completion in October 2018 and the various operations will occupy the building in stages until full occupancy is achieved in early 2019. tools to ensure maximum productivity. The workshop and warehouse facilities’ layouts will accommodate the flexibility required to adjust to market trends and future growth. The equipment in the workshop will be best in class to ensure professional deliv- erables. The premises will be in close proximity to the Cummins Africa Middle East Johannesburg Regional Office, which recently relocated to the Allandale Building, Waterfall City. b
