To make the machine electric, the combustion engine was replaced by a 30 kWh lithium battery and switched reluctance electric motor. The concept E660F-EX can be recharged by plugging into a power grid or the vehicle-charging facilities that are already available in China. A full recharge takes between three to four hours on a 32 amp grid. With a dedicated grid, the E660F-EX could be recharged within one hour. “On a full charge, the E660F-EX can perform continuous digging for about three hours,” Wang says. “Bauma China was a great opportunity for SDLG to showcase our reliable construction equipment that helps to construct a quality future. Looking ahead, SDLG will continue to develop and test electromobility products in different sizes as we work towards building a better future with our customers.” b
