Wacker Neuson launches two new excavators in the 3,5 t class With the conventional ET35 and the zero tail EZ36 excavator, Wacker Neuson is presenting two new models in the 3,5 t class. Time-tested and proven features of larger models were developed further here. A completely new design and interior, as well as additional outfitting options, provide for a productive and fatigue-free working environment.

The new ET35 and EZ36 excavators are characterised by quick work cycles as well as precise and efficient work. This is made possible by optimised hydraulics and the re-engineered motor-pump management. The EZ36 was designed as a zero tail excavator without rear overhang, specifically for work in confined construction sites, which are frequently common in urban areas. “We recognised the needs of the market and are offering more flexibility and comfort with the new 3,5 t models. The new gener- ation impresses with a new interior, a new design and additional outfitting options, which allow for productive and fatigue-free work,” says Gert Reichetseder, spokesman for management at Wacker Neuson Linz. For lifting heavy loads, the externally located guide rollers as well as an opti- mised weight distribution give the excava- tors greater stability. Up to four additional control circuits are available ex-work and make the excavators versatile tool carri- ers. An infinitely variable swivelling dozer blade with floating position is also part of the optional equipment and provides for more flexibility and efficiency. Another world’s first that is offered for both models is the hydraulic clamp for the bucket, the “hydraulic thumb.” This Asphalt mixing plant specialist Benninghoven, part of the Wirtgen Group, celebrated the world première of its newly developed, patent-pending alternating chute unit at Intermat 2018. For the new ECO asphalt mixing plant range, Benninghoven has developed a new, more cost-efficient alternative to the skip track. The alternating chute unit fea- tures a purely mechanical structure which is therefore not subject to malfunctions. A new smart design means that no sensor system, motors and brakes, are required, while worldwide functional reli- ability is ensured. The innovative asphalt transfer unit in the mixing plant was very popular with trade fair visitors.

For lifting heavy loads, the externally located guide rollers and an optimised weight distribution give the excavators a high level of stability.

feature makes gripping work easier, such as removing loose material such as branches or rocks, in the work environment. Rubber and steel tracks are available for both models. Optionally, the excavators can be equipped with the Vertical Digging System (VDS). The tiltable revolving superstructure from Wacker Neuson creates additional flexibility for the machines. Even on uneven

surfaces, for example at the curb or on a slope, inclines and declines of up to 27% can be compensated for at the push of a button. VDS not only provides greater safety, but also increased efficiency. Through exact vertical digging, the end user saves up to 25% in material and time when excavating and filling. ❂
