Space on urban construction sites is becoming increasingly limited, and with the new MT 930 H, Manitou is responding to strong demand from rentals and dealers for compact machines.
New segments in Manitou’s construction range
Rough-terrain handling, aerial work platform and earthmoving company Manitou Group has unveiled new segments in its construction range with new compact fixed, ultra-compact telehandlers and articulated loaders. This is complemented by a complete overhaul and extension of its range of rotating telehandlers. By Mark Botha .
T o bring clarity to its range of our entire range by making it simpler,” says Manitou Group MRT product manager Carlo Alberto Razzoli. “By modernising the design and ergonomics of our products, we are now able to offer a single cab across all the models in the range, so providing excellent visibility to users, whatever the model.” Having the same cab also means having an equivalent control station on all models, making them quicker to get to grips with. Two new machines, the MRT 1645 and MRT 1845 telehandlers for the Vision range, have been added to this offering. With 500 kg of additional load capacity compared to their predecessors, these products offer lifting heights of 16 and 18 m respectively rotating telehandlers, the group has named its two ranges Vision and Vision+. “We are seeking to harmonise
for a load of 4,5 tonnes (t). The models are also equipped with a new Stage V engine, producing 75 and 116 hp respectively. The Vision range offers a selection of 14 models with heights ranging from 16 to 25 m and a load capacity up to 4,5 t. Razzoli says the highest capacities are grouped together in the Vision+ range, which features 12 models. The range has been revamped with six new products: MRT 2260; MRT 2660; MRT 3570 (also available in an electronic suspension version); MRT 2570 and MRT 3060. With models offering lifting heights of 22 to 35 m, and an improved capacity of up to 7 t, this range is ideal for the installation of structural steelwork, renovation of buildings and even demolition. The two ranges are connected as standard to optimise maintenance, increase
the machine’s operating hours and thus reduce the total cost of ownership for the user. The Vision and Vision+ ranges are now available worldwide and will be delivered by September this year. When asked what motivated the decision to establish new telehandler segments, Razzoli points to the growing demand among customers wanting machines that offer higher performance on construction sites. He says the new models will be available in Africa as of the beginning of Q3 this year.
MRT specific attachments New attachments, designed by the
Manitou Attachment Competence Centre (ACC) in Italy, accompany two new ranges. Two CAF 1030 (6 and 7 t respectively) and CAF 1080 (7 t) floating fork carriages will benefit users needing to handle pallets
