Raimo Lehtiö, MD of Scania South Africa, says the delivery of the last V8 vehicle is a milestone occasion for both Time Link Cargo and Scania South Africa. “For us, the momentous occasion happens at a time when we are celebrating the 50 th anniversary of the legendary V8. It is also the 300 000 th unit of the PGR V8 range to be delivered to a customer since the first one in February 2008,” says Lehtiö. For Time Link Cargo, it’s yet another milestone in its relationship with Scania. The company also took delivery of the 10 000 th vehicle to be delivered by Scania South Africa back in 2011 – an R-Series 500 hp V8 tractor. Over the years, Time Link Cargo has become renowned for not only using Scania products, but also for its glitz of running only the powerful V8 models fully customised with a range of accessories that stand out on the road. “When it comes to choosing the right truck for your business, the details are just as important as the pulling power. Our trucks represent the entire company so we want them to reflect our image. Scania has been really helpful in delivering the vehicles to our exact specification,” says Mitoo. Why V8?
