capacity of 17,5 m³ and is powered by a Scania DC9 engine, which develops gross power of 276 kW (370 hp) and a maximum torque of 1 880 Nm. Since August last year, the TA300 has incorporated the new EP320 transmission, which comes with two additional forward gears – eight in total – as well as four

reverse gears. This helps to ensure smoother gear shifting and thereby greater operator comfort. “In addition to this, the TA300

now delivers a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency, as well as enhanced performance, productivity and operator comfort. It also now comes with long life transmission fluid, which has helped to increase the length of time between oil maintenance intervals from 1 000 to 4 000 hours,” says Douglas. The hauler’s maximum speed has also increased to 55 km/h, up from 50 km/h. This means that customers can now achieve faster cycle times, reduce their cost of operation per tonne and minimise their fuel consumption. With Terex Trucks’ understanding that a comfortable operator is a productive one, the TA300 incorporates several standard features that ensure greater operator comfort. The articulated hauler is equipped with an independent front suspension as standard, further enhancing operator comfort and enabling sound traction control and maximum productivity, even in challenging conditions. The TA300 also comes with fully enclosed, oil-cooled, multi-disc brakes at all six wheels. These are supported by both the engine brake and the transmission retarder, giving the operator greater control and increasing safety and stability while providing a low cost of operation. Helping to ensure high levels of operator comfort and productivity, the TA300 has a spacious, ergonomically designed cab with pressurised properties, which ensure operators are comfortable when behind the wheel. Acoustic insulation helps to minimise noise levels inside the cab while an easily adjusted heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system ensures a comfortable working environment for the operator. Other features that help to deliver a comfortable work environment include a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, an adaptive air suspension operator’s seat with adjustable armrests, anti-vibration mounts for the engine and cab, and cushioned stops on the steering cylinders. For safe, easy servicing, the TA300 has ground level test points, a fully tilting cab, an electronically raised hood and a full

The TA400 – the biggest articulated hauler manufactured by Terex Trucks – is ideally suited to large-scale construction projects, quarries and mines.

“The TA300 now delivers a 5% improvement in fuel efficiency, as well as enhanced performance, productivity and operator comfort. It also now comes with long life transmission fluid, which has helped to increase the length of time between oil maintenance intervals from 1 000 to 4 000 hours.”
