Machine Cockpit for improved fleet management capabilities

it’s purely about giving them the means to keep control and an overview at all times and to work as efficiently as possible with our machines,” says Sebastian Fuhrich, director Innovation Factory. Fuhrich says one of the most important levers for companies is transparency in all areas. The Putzmeister Machine Cockpit is one milestone towards this journey. With the new technology, customers can get real time information on the status of pumps at the jobsite, critical status alerts, remote diagnosis capability to identify faults and implement appropriate measures, key figures for delivery rate, machine use and fuel consumption, alerts when machines are on the move and reminders for maintenance. “The benefits are many – warning mes- sages for critical states, remote diagnosis of machine faults, as well as automatic maintenance planning reduce costly downtime. Real time information and the overview of all relevant operating figures, such as output, machine usage and fuel consumption, improve planning and ensure high productivity,” concludes Fuhrich. b from our customers, then subjected it to further improvements, testing and licens- ing, before finally introducing it as an easy ‘Plug&Play’ solution for existing machines at bauma 2019 for commercial launch,” says Jiri Karmazin, Loaders Product Manager Doosan Bobcat EMEA. “The remote control system can be used in many applications with the focus on limitless visibility, the ability to communicate with the surroundings without the need to be present in the cab, comfort enhancement for applica- tions with noise, vibration and harshness or even in dangerous areas. This was the voice of our customers and the issues we observed on most jobsites,” adds Karmazin. b

The Machine Cockpit is part of Putzmeister’s clever solutions promise.

Putzmeister used bauma 2019 to intro- duce its Machine Cockpit, an advanced fleet management technology for its range of stationary concrete pumps and truck-mounted boom pumps. The Machine Cockpit is part of Putz- meister’s clever solutions promise – through connectivity – less downtime,

higher productivity and, thanks to real-time information and an overview of all relevant operating parameters, more safety and efficiency. “We want our customers to experience digitalisation as a gain. No matter how complex our developments in this sector are, they remain simple to use. Ultimately,

New remote control system for Bobcat loaders

Bobcat used bauma 2019 to launch its new Remote Control System for its compact loaders. This system allows operators to leave their seat in the cab and control their Bobcat loader remotely. It is compatible with the Bobcat skid-steer, compact track and all wheel steer loader models equipped with the company’s Select- able Joystick Controls. Bobcat claims to be the first manufacturer to introduce a Remote Control System as original ‘Plug&Play’ equipment, rather than offering it as an add-on development from a third party. The new system will be commercially available later this year. Remote control solutions have proved their qualities and abilities to save lives in the toughest

been designed for the 21LC1400 instead of Comansa’s double trolley system, standard in other models, as the new crane will work mainly in projects in which the maximum load capacity is needed in almost every lift, like PPVC. Also announced at bauma 2019 was the upcoming Quick Set, an electronic limitation system that will reduce the set-up time of the cranes from three hours to 45 minutes, and will also reduce the number of staff during such operation. The new Quick Set will be available as an option in all flat-top models of the LC range and will be an important benefit for rental companies who have to dismantle their cranes and move them to another jobsite very often. b
