The product specified was Sikafloor Garage, a two-part; epoxy resin coating that conforms to multiple international standards. Suitable for use on concrete, cement screeds, broadcast systems and epoxy mortars, Sikafloor Garage is available in various shades and is designed to withstand normal to medium heavy mechanical and chemical loading. Providing easy application, Sikafloor Garage is water dilutable, water vapour permeable and odourless. It is ideally suited for production areas, warehouses, car park decks and garages and conforms to requirements for physiological harmlessness, for decontamination ability and for combustibility classification for floorings. It also conforms to the requirements of the Leadership in Energy Flooring Medupi After the success of a mammoth Sika project at Medupi Power Station near Lephalale in Limpopo in 2013, Alstom engineers confidently specified Sika again; this time for a flooring project in the Auxiliary units at the giant power station.
