IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY AND DEPENDABILITY FROM NEW SDLG MACHINERY
T he upgrades to SDLG’s value-added range of construction equipment have shown to deliver improved productivity and dependability while maintaining affordable prices. The machinery’s operational efficiency has resulted in the brand significantly extending its client base since its entry into the Southern African market in 2012, and Babcock says that the uptake of these machines across the region has exceeded all expectations. Babcock has extended its range of cost-effective and reliable SDLG construction machinery in Southern Africa with the introduction of the new G9220 motor grader and B877F backhoe loader. Efficient and versatile, these machines are designed to provide reliability in action, backed by Babcock’s high quality service and aftermarket support.

G9220 Based on proven SDLG technology, the G9220 is a well-balanced grader with good traction and excellent blade down force. The versatile machine is suitable for all grading applications, whether it be new construction or maintenance, ditching and slope scraping, pavement levelling or site preparation. Its 164 kW Dalian Deutz engine and ZF power shift transmission delivers easy and reliable operation, while the engine’s three power curve settings allow for the smoothest grade on any surface as well as reduced fuel consumption. Operator comfort is ensured by a cab providing good visibility, a quiet working space and air-conditioning, while an automatic mode of transmission allows operators to shift easily from manual to automatic transmission. In addition, ease of operation is guaranteed by the Machine Blade Control System (MBCS) which allows the operator to swing the
