FLOW MEASUREMENT + INSTRUMENTATION
Rotating vane flow meter for low viscosity liquids
line electronics can use these signals for measuring, mon- itoring and dosing. With a measuring range of 0.05 - 0.6 litres per minute to 1.0 - 12 litres per minute and a measuring accuracy of 2% from measuring range full-scale value, the measur- ing device can be used widely. Built to operate in medi- um temperatures up to 140°C and maximum pressure of 30 bar, it can also be used in harsh industrial condi- tions. In order to cover a wide range of applications the housing, nozzles and axle are made of high quality steel and the impeller is made of PVDF. Mechanical connec- tion is provided by means of either a G thread or an NPT thread. The DTK rotating vane flow meter is used in low vis- cosity and non-conductive liquids and in applications ranging from volume dosing with external electronics, to laundry machines and PCB manufacturing machines, and agriculture, among others. Kobold’s DTK rotating vane flow meter for low vol- ume flow measurement applications is available from Instrotech. A versatile, efficient and eco- nomical piece of equipment, this flow meter was specially developed for use in low viscos- ity liquids. Its compact construction means it can be used in machines with restricted space as well as in industrial systems. Key advantages are its robust construction and long-term stability.
In the DTK flow meter, the medium flows through a formed flow casing, causing the impeller to rotate. Two magnets on the impeller gener- ate electrical impulses in a
Hall sensor. The frequen- cy emitted by the elec- tronics is then directly proportionate to the flow velocity. Down-
The Kobold DTK rotating vane flow meter is designed for low volume flow measurement.
