POWER-GEN & DistribuTECH Africa 2017 Speaking at the opening of POWER-GEN & DistribuTECH Africa 2017 on Tuesday, 18 July, at the Sandton Convention Cen- tre, Johannesburg, high-level pan-African power stakeholders acknowledged that transformation is taking place, but that the pace of change is much too slow. They urged closer collaboration and inno- vation to take power to the 600 million people in Africa who have no access to electricity, as well as to support industri- alisation across the continent.
