Dare to compare the new CS80 drives

Johan Nieuwenhuisen, Business Development Director of Adroit Technologies states, “I invite customers to compare our pricing on the drives, against even imported Chinese brands. We are extremely competitive and expecting volume sales for this product.” The FREQROL-CS80 compact size is achieved by the low heat generation design. Side by side installation of these inverters is possible as long as the surrounding air temperature does not ex- ceed 40° C. Three FR-CS84-012-60 inverters can be installed in the space normally required for two conventional models. A DIN rail installation attachment option can be used, but is excluded for inverters FR-CS84-120 to 295. Even with a 57% reduction in volume, the inverter still offers high performance. Functions available include general-purpose magnetic flux vector control and auto tuning functions. These en- sure the inverters can be used in applications that require high starting torque, such as washing machines, agitators, and transfer machines, which include conveyors, hoists, and elevators. • The high torque of 150% / 1 Hz is realised (when the slip com- pensation function is valid) • Auto-tuning With the 'non-rotation' auto-tuning function the motor constant (R1) can be automatically calculated.

Adroit Technologies recently launched a new range of Mitsubishi electric variable speed drives into the African market. Positioned for more cost sensitive lower end markets, the drives cover the 0,375 kW to 18 kW power range. They are built to the Mitsubishi quality standard that has seen customers globally purchase over 11 million inverters for a wide range of applications. Dave Wibberley, MD of Adroit: says “Mitsubishi drives are a premium quality and price product, and our customers have al- ways been prepared to pay for that unbeatable quality, reliability and performance. However, there is a huge lower end market, such as the HVAC market that really needs a lower specification, lower price product that is not packed with the features built into our standard drives. Now we can deliver both, high quality, lower featured drives at an unbeatable price.” Enter Mitsubishi Electric's introduced its latest generation of compact inverters, the FREQROL-CS80 inverters. In addition to better features and performance than their predecessors, the models in this series are more compact and easier to install. Improvements include a 57% reduction in volume, high perfor- mance, ease of use and easy maintenance. All the improvements make the FREQROL-CS80 an economical and highly-versatile solution for a wide range of applications from HVAC, wood pro- cessing, conveyors, fans and pumps.

The inverter has an easy-to-read operation panel. An optional LCD operation panel, the FR- LU08, is also available. The panel can be con- nected using the separate parameter unit con- nection cable (FR-CB20 []) with the operation panel connection connector (FR-ADP). Enquiries: Adroit Technologies.

Heavy-duty pressure switch for superior applications From pumps, through hydraulic systems to autoclaves, WIKA's new heavy-duty pressure switch, model PSM-550, has been designed for superior industrial appli- cations. The new instrument switches electrical loads up to AC 230 V/ 10 A with a nonre- peatability of the switch point of ≤ 1%.The high accuracy ensures that the machine operates optimally and, through that, also safeguards the quality of the manufac- tured products. The pressure switch can be delivered both with setting ranges for gauge pres- sure (0 … 300 mbar to 10 … 30 bar) and with vacuum setting ranges (-1 … 0 bar and -0.8 … +5 bar). It is thus also suitable for monitoring vacuum circuits, such as with cleaning processes. The robust instrument has an ingress protection of IP67. Furthermore, there is a PSM-550 in a version for medium temperatures up to 170 °C, which has wetted parts from stainless steel. Enquiries:WIKA Instruments.
