Sighting tube The sighting tube is used in environments where reflect- ed energy is a problem. It is installed with the mounting flange. Blast gate The blast gate is equipped with a window and a metal shut- ter. It is used to protect the sensor and allows for tasks to be performed without exposing the sensor to hot or explo- sive areas. Closing the blast gate’s metal shutter isolates the sensor from the hostile area, allowing for maintenance, change of the sensor or sensor settings, or removal of the sensor and/or ThermoJacket.
