PLANT MAINTENANCE, TEST + MEASUREMENT
Vision sensor for colour inspections iVu Series Vision Sensors are now available in models capable of colour inspections. The sensors build on the inspection capabilities offered by iVu Vision Sensors by enabling inspections based on colour or variations in colour, as well as by type, size, orientation, or position. Compact and easy-to-use, the iVu colour vision sensors are available in models with an integrated or remote touch screen. Key benefits Application Flexibility: In addition to the Match, Area, Blemish, and Sort sensor types standard to iVu Series Sensors, the sensors feature three new sensor types: • Average colour: Monitor objects for colour or variations in colour. • Colour area: Verify feature(s) are present and are the correct colour. • Colour compare: Verify an object matches a reference colour or colours. Sensor types can be used alone or together to solve more and more complex applications. Increased Uptime: iVu Series Vision Sensors can store up to 30 inspec- tions. Inspection parameters can be changed while inspections are in pro- gress without stopping and restarting processes. Ease of Use: The colour sensors feature touch screen operation, a graphical user interface, and menu-driven tools that make it easy to setup, manage, and monitor inspections without a PC. Applications iVu Colour Sensors can be used to monitor objects for colour or variations in colour, determine object presence and colour, verify object colour match- es a reference colour, etc. Typical applications include:
Global release of new liquid analyser and smart adapter
Yokogawa Electric Corporation has added two new solutions to the OpreXTM Analysers family. The FLXA402 can flexibly perform a variety of measure- ments and the SA11 comes with data conversion, transmission, calibration, and diagnosis functions. The two new liquid analysis products will be offered as part of the SENCOM 4.0 series. It is expected they will help to improve the efficiency of calibration and other maintenance tasks, and facilitate the flexi- ble design and operation of liquid analysis data mon- itoring systems. Liquid analysers consist of a sensor and a trans- mitter with a data conversion function, and are used to monitor items such as the quality of raw materi- als and finished products, and water quality in the wastewater treatment process. The two basic types of transmitters are 4-wire devices with separate cables for power supply and output, and 2-wire devices that use the same ca- ble for power supply and output. Yokogawa’s 4-wire transmitters are typically used for specific applica- tions such as pH measurement, and its FLXA21 and FLXA202 2-wire transmitters can flexibly accommo- date multiple sensors of the four basic types: pH/ ORP, conductivity, inductive conductivity, and dis- solved oxygen. Although the FLXA402 is a 4-wire system, it can connect to multiple sensors, perform diagnostics, and communicate digitally with host systems. Enquiries: Visit www.yokogawa.com/za
