Phoenix Contact: Beerfest and ‘Product Fest’ On 21 September Phoenix Contact hosted a Beerfest at the Johannesburg offices and introduced some of their latest products. With over 130 innovations in 2017 from Phoenix Contact these are some highlights. Push-in connection technology , for quick and easy tool free wiring, was originally developed by Phoenix Con- tact for wiring terminal blocks. This technology has been well received by the market and works so well that a complete product range with Push-in Technology is now available. Sensors and actuators, terminal blocks and interface and automation components can now be connected without using any tools. Surge Protection devices have never been this narrow. TERMITRAB complete are the world’s narrowest surge protection devices for measurement and control technology – the narrowest being only 3,5 mm wide. TERMI- TRAB can protect up to 572 signals on a one metre long DIN rail. The new WLAN 1100 wireless module encloses two integrated, powerful antennae within the robust housing. It can be easily mounted on the outside of the control cabinet and best of all is an inexpensive solution. Versatility is the key when it comes to Phoenix Contact’s range of M12 connectors which provides a wide se- lection of connection options to choose from for optimum connection of data, signals or power. A focus for Phoenix Contact is to provide smart wiring for smart factories in the digital future. Enquiries: Sheree Britz. Email sbritz@phoenixcontact.co.za
