Tough drives for demanding applications

MAXXDRIVE ® industrial gear units are used when high output torques and powers are required. In combination with selected accessories, MAXXDRIVE ® provides a tech- nically and economically suitable drive solution for each project. The configuration and mounting options of the industrial gear units allow for standardised or tailor-made drive solu- tions. The combination of motor, gear unit, coupling and braking system, for example, results in precisely planned complete units which are supplied ready to install, mount- ed on a motor swing base or a base frame. As an alter- native, the motor attachment can be realised via an IEC/ NEMA adapter. A large range of flange and output shaft versions means the application requirements for each cus- tomer can be matched. The mechanical and thermal design of all NORD indus- trial gear units is always based on the existing operating data of the application and on the ambient conditions at the installation site. The MAXXDRIVE ® portfolio provides for maximum individualisation, creating drive systems that meet high demands in terms of reliability and long service life. Tailor-made for different applications Typical MAXXDRIVE ® applications for conveyor belts con- sist of an electric motor, a coupling solution and an industri- al gear unit with axial fan. In such applications, the primary focus is on sufficient heat dissipation to boost thermal limit powers.
