PROJECT DELIVERY EXCELLENCE OF THE YEAR

NKGOMELENG PETLA – AMEDZO TRADING AND PROJECTS A medzo Trading & Trading was awarded the subcontract for supply and installation of all building works scope and all other relevant items entailing the brickwork for Surface Infrastructure Works at the Venetia Underground Project

The VUP project had 14 female employees and two were skilled labourers while 12 were general labourers. Amedzo Trading & Projects used this project to upgrade the skills of the unskilled labourers through internal training and development. Annah Sebola, Chriselda Gobola took up the challenge. Anna Sebola didn’t have experience but she was given exposure to be well-rounded bricklayer. By the end of the project, she had developed great confidence and experience which she is going to use in future. Phathutshedzo Madima and Shirley Mulelwa were taken through Site Supervisory training and Shirley was appointed acting site manager at some point during the project. She managed the site well due to the training and exposure the company accorded her. 

(VUP) – Venetia Mine. The brick work was for six sites. The company executed the project according to set timeframes. It also ensured quality delivery of the project and handed over the sites upon which the company was awarded with a certificate of completion. De Beers observes high Safety Health and Environment standards and Amedzo proudly met all expectations of the project as can be seen from the Audit Reports accompanying the application.
