VERONICA MARUPING – BOSHEDIKWENA TRADING AND PROJECTS

B oshedikwena Trading and Projects is a 100% black woman owned company in Diepsloot. The company was established in 2018 with the aim to evolve into a dynamic construction company with capacity in plant services, civil engineering, tiling, ceilings and plumbing. Veronica Maruping is the 100% black female owner of the company. Maruping is a SANWIT affiliate where she receives mentoring from women who are in the transport business. She is currently studying on a part-time basis to upskill her managerial and leadership skills. She attends incubation training where she is receiving training for management and business administration.

Her strong qualities as a business owner enables her to face business challenges, adaptive methods to quickly come up with workable solutions as the sector requires not only day to day, but hourly engagements. Her dream aspiration is to start a Young Women’s Network of business owners and aspiring women in business in Diepsloot. This is inspired by the fact that she grew there and is fully aware of the need for women empowerment. The economic possibilities in Diepsloot will see women become financially independent. Economic participation by Boshedikwena under her leadership aims to not only improve women in construction but all previously disadvantaged individuals with skills and academic prowess. 
