NONDUMISO ZINDILE – KINGSWORTH CIVILS AND CONSTRUCTION

K ingsworth Civils and Construction was established by a highly skilled individual named Mthetheleli Ncana. Ncana has an extensive knowledge and experience in the construction field ranging from various positions over 15 years in the field. These include being an on sight quantity surveyor, project co-ordinator, safety officer, site supervisor, site manager, quality assurer and manager. This collective experience has given him a variety of skills for the company to make a footmark in the built marketing and procurement manager. Ncana handed the 100% ownership of the company to Zendile because of the capabilities of growing the business she showed in the period since she joined the business. Ncana is still actively involved in the business as project manager. Nondumiso Zendile says, “As a young woman in business, I am passionate about young women who show potential in making it against all odds. Kingsworth Civils and Construction has developed a programme of empowering young women deserving of the opportunity in the previously disadvantaged areas. “The initiative started in 2019 with a young woman that worked as an office administrator for the company when she was enrolled in the Economic Development Programme that was offered to the company by the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, ECDC and Nelson Mandela University Business School. She graduated in the programme in July 2020 and it helped her to move to greater heights.” In 2020 the company offered Usisipho Stuurman an opportunity to get skills training and offer her a job as administration officer in the company and gave her experience environment to create jobs and grow the economy. We have subscribed with the SESSA skills training that offered skills training to the company at a monthly premium,” says Ncana. “As a small company we believe changing a life of one young woman makes a big difference.” 

NAYDENE KOOVER – BANAPELE MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT B anapele Music Entertainment (Trading as Banapele Construction) was established in 2015 to bring positive changes within the lives of the children and the youth of South Africa through the arts and culture and construction industries of South Africa. Banapele has 100% black female ownership. The company is based in Bela-Bela with Naydene Koover as director and 100% black female owner. Banapele identified the construction industry as an

Banapele Construction in partnership with Banapele Ministry is positioning itself to play a vital role in the provision of the arts and culture industry and the construction industry of South Africa towards decreasing the level of unemployment amongst the youth of South Africa. Naydene Koover has participated and completed training programmes that were introduced by the South African Government through the NHBRC as per their goal to empower young black women in construction. 
