L iviya Projects is a 100% black women owned private company based in Klerks-dorp, North West Province. Liviya Projects is directed by two young women who are self-driven and passionate about bettering their future and those of others. Liviya Projects is construction company (but not limited only to construction) Precious Seapose is a young black female who is hardworking, full of energy, eager to learn and achieve whatever tasks are presented to her. She has a diploma in project management, a national certificate in bookkeeping and accounting and also has over six years of experience in construction administration. She is a former Provincial Treasurer of SAWIC in the North West. The construction and built industry it is known as a male dominated industry but the cidb has given an opportunity to

women to flourish and operate within the industry. Liviya Projects shareholders are women who also saw it fit to empower/employ a young black women to lead their finance department and to empower fellow women contractors like Yonica Trading, Pholin Trading, Royal Grace Constructions, Gomolemo contruction & Projects etc. Liviya has completed a joint venture with other women exchanging skills. When more women work, economies grow. Women’s economic empowerment boosts productivity, increases economic diversification and income equality in addition to other positive development outcomes. Liviya greatly benefits from increasing employment and leadership opportunities for women, which is shown to increase organisational effectiveness and growth. 

RACHEL MOLAMU – MERCYCON M ercycon is a 100% black women owned construction company based in Klerksdorp, North West Province. It is a steadily growing company, managed by one woman who is self-driven and passionate in bettering her future and that of others.

Its primary focus is building, renovating and altering low cost houses, office parks, commercial buildings and government structures both for private and public sector in South Africa. Mercycon also takes pride in mentoring and empowering. Rachel Molamu, the managing member attained a quantity surveyor honours degree from the University of Witswatersrand. She also has been exposed to the built industry for over 10 years and has extensive experience through working for other construction companies before starting her own. 
