It is here … Regent Lighting has designed, de veloped, and manufactured its new Mini Lumina to illuminate your way on the African Continent. The Mini Lumina will be the newest addition to the company’s locally manufactured amenity contemporary side entry range particularly suited for outdoor applications such as Roadways (A4 and B class), parking areas, parks and gardens, residential areas, squares and plazas. The f i t t i ng i s des i gned to oper ate at 28 W-4500 lm/56 W-8893 lm. The fitting fea tures an energy-efficient Samsung 30-30 high powered LED, mounted onto an aluminium circuit board to ensure efficient thermal transfer to the cast aluminium housing. It can be post mounted or wall mounted. The spigot entry is a 42 mm diameter with a 130 mm depth. Recommended mounting height 4 m to 9 m. Regent Lighting’s vast range of asymmetrical lenses enable the luminaire to be individually modified to specific lighting requirements, this enables the lighting solution to be optimised in terms of road width, mounting height, boom length and distance between poles. The incorporation of lighting controls and daylight switching plays a vital part with the increasing need to be energy efficient and envi ronmentally friendly. By offering various energy saving and control options like photocells, motion sensors, step dimming, and Bluetooth control, one can optimise the lumen output for specific class of roads and reduce volumes. Also, by selecting the correct asymmetrical lenses, one can dramatically reduce the number of luminaires required to achieve the desired result. With over 30 years of experience in exterior lighting, Regent Lighting incorporate surge pro tection on all external luminaires to protect the electronics and LEDs from power surges and

voltage spikes. The surge arrestor is a sacrificial device that is easily replaced and ensures long term performance of the luminaire. The unit is connected in series with the LED driver, and it can protect the driver up to 10 kV. The surge protector has an LED indicator so it’s easy to determine if it needs to be replaced and due to the design, it is quite easy to change, which is a major advantage when it comes to maintenance. ‘Light Africa local’ to Regent means safety, security and comfort to the people of Africa by retaining skills, creating employment and em powering lives.
