Create a cosy cocoon with textiles Up the warm, homely factor by selecting textiles that make the room feel like a cocoon. Deep shades of charcoal, navy, green and burgundy can instantaneously change the mood of a room and make it feel warmer. If painting all the walls in a room is out of your comfort zone, opt for a single accent wall. Painting just one wall in a room is a great way to experiment with colour without overwhelming both you and the space. The darker wall (or walls) will add depth to a space and serves as a great backdrop for furniture and textiles.
