Each year the competition challenges designers to approach their lighting fixtures with the guidance of a theme. The 2019 theme is TEXTURE. All submissions will be reviewed by some of the industry’s top profes- sionals, and the finalists from each category will be displayed at L A M P’s annual exhibition during IDS Vancouver's Offsite Programming. The three categories open for submissions include student, emerging and established design- ers. After reviewing all submissions, the esteemed panel of judges will make their decisions based on a set evaluation ranging from aesthetics, market- ability, innovation, and unique interpretation of the theme word.
