Lighting designer Dean Skira has designed the Polesano street lamp – which can be used to light a multitude of different urban settings – for Delta Light. Polesano is Delta Light's first large outdoor lighting system. Skira, who runs a lighting design studio in his hometown of Pula in Croatia, designed the modular street lamp to be as adaptable to different settings as possible. "Polesano is a multi-functional urban device that provides all necessary forms of light in a single aesthetically unique structure in various different urban settings," he says. Polesano street lamp can create "all necessary forms of light"

Lighting brand Plumen has launched an LED light bulb that offers a more sustainable alternative to its 001 bulb, which was named the Design of the Year by London's Design Museum in 2011. Plumen has redesigned its 001 bulb with a patented LED construction to replace the previous compact fluorescent technology. Despite changing the technology, the brand has retained the bulb's recognisable double-looped form, designed with British designer Samuel Wilkinson. "Our goal is for sustainable design to be a natural choice and our light bulbs aim to inspire that change," said Plumen co-founder Nicolas Roope. "Our original 001 is a tough act to follow, but we believe this reincarnated 001 LED will become a new clas- sic, and a sound choice for anyone who enjoys beautiful design that doesn't cost the earth," he added. Return to FORM

Marking their first collaboration together, FLOS and Italian artists Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Formafantasma have launched a unique light that hovers between a wall and a floor lamp. The Wirering light is a A sculptural light which hovers between a wall and a floor lamp

Melbourne-based Milligram Studio has collaborated with One Design Office (ODO) on a collection of lighting that explores form and shape. FORM evokes a sense of playful- ness thanks to the juxtaposition of primary shapes. Smaller spherical globes rest within carved out notches on the geo- metric bases which pop in four matte colours – black, white, pink, and teal. Available in three shapes – cylinder, rectangle, and triangle – FORM lamps can be used solo or arranged as a group to create a modern yet timeless arrangement.

minimalist design, void of any adornment, with a ring of light held tautly against the wall by a custom-made, rubber electric cable. Once mounted, the fix- ture becomes a source of light while acting as an architectural sculpture. While a lamp’s cable is typically kept hidden, theWir- ering prominently incorporates it into the design for not only aesthetic purposes but also to deliver power to the LED ring.
