Process control and instrumentation service provider INSTROTECH now offers three types of Kobold oval wheel flowmeters that give precise flow measurement for all viscous and non-abrasive clean liquids, such as petroleum and other fuels including diesel, oil and grease, ink and pastes, and chemicals. T he flowmeters can be used in a number of diverse applications, such asmeasurement of fuel consumption for small aircrafts, as well as motor boats and mobile power generators. The DON can be used for liquids with different viscosities of up to 1000cPandhigheronrequest.Itisaccurateto+0.2%ofmeterreadings. Lastly, the high-pressure Kobold DON-H is the third instrument in the range and it features: • A measuring range from 0.5 to 40 l/min.
TheKOBOLDDOEhas a lowcost, compact, stainless steel body and canmeasure fuel consumption for OEMcustomers. It offers different pulse output options including one to measure pulsating flow from peristaltic pumps. The built-in temperaturemeasurement enables ap- propriate electronics to compensate for changing densities of liquids of up to 1000 cP, and the unit is accurate to +1% of the readings under reference conditions. The DOE features: • Measuring ranges: 0.5 to 40 ℓ /min. • Pressures of up to 64 bar and maximum temperatures of +100 °C. • Pulse output with an integrated Pt 100 for measuring of fuel consumption. The KOBOLD DON is the second oval wheel flowmeter available under INSTROTECH. It is a high-end, positive displacement flow - meterwith two oval geared rotors thatmeasure a constant volume per rotationwithin a preciselymachinedmeasuring chamber. With each rotation, a constant volume of liquid is measured. The rotation of the oval gears is sensed via magnets embedded in the rotors and a high-resolution pulse output is transmitted. This signal canbeprocessedexternally via a remotedisplay controller or
• Maximum pressure of 400 bar at temperatures of up to 120 °C. • All typical outputs, digital displayandATEXversions areavailable. q
