the status at a glance and are able to react directly to potential errors. When equipped with the optional clean- ing and dosing module, the Flowfit CYA27 assembly requires very lowmaintenance. The dosing pump module is switched via the con- nected transmitter, for example, the Liquiline multi-parameter transmitter with relay card, enabling automated cleaning cycles and acidification of the medium

Endress+Hauser’s new modular Flowfit CYA27 flow assembly enables measurement tobe taken for up to sixparameters inprocess and drinking water. Systematicdisinfection is anessential step in water treatment and is legally required in many areas to protect people and systems from illness or damage.Monitoring these dis- infection processes is a must to comply with limit values and avoid wasting disinfectants. The modular Flowfit CYA27 flow assembly provides aflexiblebasis for themeasurement of disinfection parameters such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone or bromine and further parameters of liquid analysis that go along such as pH or ORP. The Flowfit CYA27 flow assembly allows for individual configuration of up to six mod - ules, therebyenablingperfect adaption toany process requirements. Assemblymodules for disinfection sensors and pH/ORP, oxygen or “Onsite industrial gas, including nitrogen and oxygen generation, offers a much more sustainable and cost-efficient solution com - pared to cylinder or bulk liquid supply, which requires transport, handling, storage and administration,” notes Zandra van der Westhuizen, business line manager for Atlas Copco Compressor Technique’s Industrial Air division. Atlas Copco NGP+ generators have been designed from the outset to protect the process application and the users’ equip- ment investment, offering onsite nitrogen at flows ranging from 5.4 ℓ/s (18 Nm³/h) to 867 ℓ/s (2 870 Nm³/h). Operating with Pressure SwingAdsorption (PSA) technology, the plug-and-playNGP+ nitrogen generators can simply be plugged into an existing clean and dry compressed air installation to offer an independent, reliable, secure, flexible and cost-effective supply of nitrogen. Overall, the augmented family of NGP+ nitrogen generators offers up to 50% reduction in running costs compared to other nitrogen supply methods. Core to the NGP+ is the carbon molecu- lar sieve: small oxygen molecules penetrate

Growingdemand forwater and increasing water scarcity make it important to waste as littlewater as possible, includingwhile taking bypass measurements. Disinfection sensors installed in the Flowfit CYA27 assembly re - quirea sampleflowas lowas5.0 ℓ /h (1.32gph) for a reliable measurement, thus minimising water waste. The Flowfit CY27 features a status indica - tion light that allows easy identificationof the operating status of themeasuring point. This can be used to reflect the status of the flow, showing a red light if theflow is too low. It can also be connected to the alarm relay of the transmitter to indicate the NAMUR status of the measuring point. Operators can see

NGP+ nitrogen generators reduceOPEX by 50% the pores while large nitrogen molecules by-pass the carbon molecular sieve. The NGP+ generators are equipped with an automatic ‘off-spec’ purity control check that prevents nitrogen with a purity level less than the fixed threshold from reaching a sensitive application. Additionally, fail- safe sensors continuously monitor feed air conditions such as temperature, pressure and pressure dewpoint. “If the feed air does not match the generator’s specifications, it is automatically blown off prior to entering the machine to eradicate the risk of contamina- tion and component damage,” explains Van derWesthuizen. “In addition, in some sectors

such as rubber, metal production and general industry, customers are able to refine the actual purity level required for any given application while benefitting from optimum economic operation.” The future-proof design of the NGP+ generators, which includes the integration of SMARTLINK, aligns these units with Industry 4.0 applications. The SMARTLINK data moni- toringprogramcollects, comparesandanalyses data in real-time to deliver an intelligent as- sessment of generator system performance. Throughmachinemonitoring and assessment, customers are able to achieve increased reli- ability, reduceddowntimeand theopportunity to identify energy optimisation opportunities. www.atlascopco.com/en-za
