WIKA’s new flexible level detector
WIKA’s new model FLM-Tx-FLEX magneto strictive level transmitter for high-accuracy, continuous level detection of liquids also features long insertion lengths. The FLM Tx-FLEX is fitted with a flexible probe tube with stainless steel spiral armour. At the lower end of the sensor, there is a
magnetic foot, which serves both to fix the stainless steel corrugated tube to the tank floor and as a ballast weight. As a result of the flexible probe tube, the FLM-Tx-FLEX has an installation advantage in applications with low ceiling clearances. The flexible design also makes transport
easier than with a rigid probe, and interface measurements are possible with the flex ible version. The transmitter is available in probe lengths of between 1.5 and 22 m with an accuracy of ±2.0 mm. Explosion protected versions are also available. www.wika.co.za
