Open frame pinch valves have been de- veloped on the successful design of BMG KLEP’s patented FPV diaphragm valves. FPV diaphragm and pinch valves, which are 100% locallymanufactured, are avail- able in many different materials, with various pressure ratings, to meet exact requirements. This range is available with various FPV diaphragm and pinch valves from BMG linings – for example, soft rubber, hard rubber, Butyl rubber, Halar and jumbo rubber. The lining and diaphragm design increases the life span of the valve due to high abrasion resistance and chemical resistance properties of individual linings and diaphragms.

“BMG boosts its fluid technology ser- vices with dependable technical support to ensure optimum safety, efficiency and extendedservice lifeof every system, even in corrosive environments. With broad technical capabilities, the team is able to solve problems in applications where conventional components have failed after short periods of service,” says Willie Lamprecht, product manager, industrial valves, BMG. “BMG’s fluid technology ser- vices also cover project engineering and consulting, cylinder design and manufac- ture, training, repair and testing, aswell as onsite container services.” The company’s extensive range of components for fluid technology systems and general industrial applications en- compasses valves, hydraulic hoses and fittings, accumulators, cylinders, heat exchangers, pneumatics, hydraulicmotors and hydraulic plumbing, as well as pumps and reservoir accessories. BMG’s range of FPV valves also in- cludes open frame pinch valves, designed for enhanced operating efficiency and extended service life in diverse sectors. These valves are particularly well suited for the control and isolation of abrasive slurries. www.bmgworld.net route-to-market strategy through rental and distribution, direct and Specialty Rental will remain largely unchanged. “Whilewe are global market leaders in our core products of air and tool solutions, we are the new kid on the block when it comestopowerandflow,”saysHerselman. “It is our objective to extend our global leadership position across the entire product offering from Power Technique to become a turnkey air, power and flow solutions supplier in all segments where we do business,” he says. www.atlascwww.atlascopco.co.za

AtlasCopcoPower Techniquehas evolved out of the success of the Construction Technique business area to bring 360° air, power and flow solutions and services to mining and industry across Southern Africa. Since its establishment in January 2012, Construction Technique has devel- oped into much more than construction; with its extensive product and service offering which includes core products for air (portable compressors), power (gen- eratorsandlighttowers)andflow(pumps), aswell as light equipment (handheld tools, compaction and concrete equipment). “Powerpresentsthekeyelementofour product offeringand it iswhat our custom- ers identifywithwhen it comes to the core product portfolioof air, water andelectric- ity. As an essential power source in many applications, our products are providing energy to sustain customer productivity.” Alongside its core products, the ex- citing new product line up will include boosters, Zone 2 generators and quality air offerings. The new business area’s fo- cus on temporary, semi-permanent and permanent applications and the successful Pinch valves – with a design where the sleeve is pinched to close mechanically or automatically – are ideal for pumping or the transfer of liquids, powders, solids and abrasives. BMG’srangeofpinchvalvesisavailable with a short and long framedesign, in sizes between DN50 and DN600, with special face-to-face dimensions and larger sizes on request. The body is made from cast steel, but stainless steel is also available for specific applications. Thesevalveshave manual, gearbox, pneumatic andhydraulic actuation. The company supports its extensive range of industrial valves with a technical back-up service to ensure optimum ef- ficiency and extended service life of every valve. BMGalso offers a total process and lubricationmanagement solution, tomeet exact market demand.
