Orica has invested over $100m in Africa and: • Over 500 people support our Africa business with a manufacturing and operating presence in seven countries including South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana, Senegal and DRC. • Supplies products and services, including Sodium Cyanide for gold processing to many countries across Western, Eastern and Southern Africa. • Owns and operates manufacturing assets in South Africa, including Ground Support manufacturing in Johannes- burg. • Designed, developed and operates bulk explosives production operations in Ghana, Senegal, Zambia and Tanzania and further plants for construction in Mozam- bique and DRC, followed by new facilities in Western and Southern Africa. • Owns and operates on bench MMU services in Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Mozambique, DRC and Tanza- nia. • Owns and operates initiation system assembly plants in Zambia and Cape Town. • Continues to have access to Orica’s Global Footprint and “Centres of Excellence”. Leveraging Orica’s proven technology, supply chain and operations know how to enhance our partner’s experience.

SUPPORTING ITSCOMMUNITIES Orica invests funding in community initiatives at multiple levels. Many of our sites and regional offices contribute to their local communities through distinctive funding programs. Corporate funding is provided for matched workplace giving, disaster response, scholarships, and delivering initiatives though the Orica Community Partnerships Program. The priority areas for the program are education, community health and well-being and environmental projects. Africa initiatives include: • Medical equipment and supplies to three hospitals near mines in Ghana. • Medical supplies to support two paediatric oncology facilities in South Africa. • Computer equipment to upgrade a high school computer lab in South Africa. • Furniture and computer equipment to upgrade a youth organisation’s creative computer hub initiative.
