The Lokotrack ST2.3 is suitable for a wide range of applications from multi-use to fine screening and recycling.
Metso’s new arrivals Metso showcased a number of inno- vations for sustainable productivity in aggregates and mining industries. Among the new innovations was the Lokotrack ST2.3, which is said to bring the proven quality and operational reliability of Lokotrack track-mounted solutions to a completely new light- er-weight screening solution. Thanks to its compact and safety-driven design, the ST2.3 is an ideal solution for entre- preneurs looking to enter the screening business. “For businesses thinking of expanding their operations into aggregates pro- duction, the first logical step is often screening. They can be already working in earthmoving or agriculture and want to utilise their existing soil property to grow their business,” says Jarmo Vuorenpää, Product Manager, Mobile Screens at Metso. The Lokotrack ST2.3 is suitable for a wide range of applications from multi- use to fine screening and recycling. It has a 5’ wide screen with matching feeder and conveyor and aggressive stroke of up to 13 mm with 5G acceler- ation that results in sound screening performance in its weight class. The solution is easy to set up and is ready to screen in minutes. The ST2.3 is easily moved from one site to another using standard trailers in most cases. The product will be commercially available as of 2020. Metso also expanded its communi- ty-friendly Lokotrack Urban(TM) series mobile crushing and screening plant range. With its advanced protection
ergy, 2-bearing, 3-deck screenbox is side-tensioned, delivering more true screening area with 22 x 6 on the two upper decks, and a 20 x 6 bottom deck. The S250’s hydraulic screenbox linkage system allows greater acces- sibility for screen change and enables optimum screen coverage at varying screenbox angles. The power unit on the S250 has been simplified with access for maintenance and service in mind. An option of a 225 hp Cat engine or 218 hp Volvo Penta engine delivers all the power needed for maximum production. Available in double or triple deck models, the S250 features wider side and auxiliary conveyors, at 900 mm conveyors and 800 mm wide. More pumps allow the conveyors to be individually controlled, allowing for better material flow. “Up to 10 m³ high capacity hopper with generous grid opening allows the use of larger loading shovels. The class leading screening area, along with its high energy screening action, ensure that the McCloskey S250 is the superior choice for material screening,” says Paschal McCloskey, President and CEO of McCloskey International. “We are continuing to focus our design and development of machines that will deliver more mobility, without compromising production. Boosting production while moving site to site easily allows them to grow and diversify – both key factors for their ongoing success, and ours, in the marketplace,” adds McCloskey.
