Another award in the Health & Safety Service Provider Excellence category was awarded to Ronelle Affinand. There were two awards for Health & Safety Representatives . Appointed H&S Representatives at member quarries are democratically elected to perform their duties as representatives and this is added to their normal duties at the operation. Often the success of the safety performance depends on these people as they are the eyes and ears of management, and the mentors to colleagues. Two H&S Representatives were acknowledged for their outstanding work as their quarries achieved the highest scores during the 2023 ISHE Audits: Donald Katiso Tsotetsi – from Afrimat Qwa Qwa and Avinash Mahabeer from BluRock Quarry.
