SOLAR POWERED STREET LIGHT WITH PIR MIMIC COMPONENTS was so impressed with the specs and price of this solar pow- ered light that the company decided to put it through a rigorous garden test aided by sev- eral evening thunderstorms. It did everything it said it would do and three months later the solar powered light is still in the garden, on its make-shift mounting pole, powering up during the day and light- ing up at night, even during Johannesburg’s recent thunderstorms. The all-in-one, low energy solar light is new on the market. It is IP65 rated with power- saving lighting that lasts all night. It emanates a low and steady 8 -10% output when not in use and lights up to 100% power when trig- gered by PIR. The PIR lasts for approximately 30 seconds and is triggered when someone walks underneath or in close proximity to the light. The triggered illumination is excep- tionally bright. No wiring is necessary, just a secure pole mount. The fitting is cost effec- tive as it comes with built-in long-life lithium batteries and requires no maintenance once mounted. It is available in 24 W or 48 W, day- light 7000 K. Applications include perimeter or street lights, lighting in open-bay shopping mall parking lots, office buildings, hotels, residen- tial estates and townhouse complexes.
