NEW GENERATION OF DIMMERS SHUTTLE LIGHTING has announced an upgrade to its dimmers for LED, halogen and incandescent lights and the release of a 250 W dimmer. Shuttle’s new generation of dimmers are universal with the ability to be set to leading or trailing edge. Shuttle has also included a number of enhancements which protect the dimmers from short circuits, inductive loads, overloading and increased protection against voltage spikes. The dimmers will automatically detect inductive loads and will switch over to leading edge control to ensure full functionality. Shuttle’s new generation dimmers are compatible with ‘RC’ type LEDs that currently have a slight glow when turned off (RC drivers draw a small current even when the light is switched off). This feature is an important enhancement as many LED manufactures are using RC drivers in their new LEDs. The dimming curve of Shuttles dimmers is better matched to the human eye and the dimming time is fixed, irrespective of the lamp’s minimum and maximum intensity. Shuttle’s 250 W dimmer is available immediately, while the 125 W, Aurora also launched its new linear which, once installed as part of the AXiO smart lighting platform, can assist in reducing energy savings by up to 50%. At its stand at Messe Frankfurt, Aurora Lighting unveiled its new AXiO Linium™, previewed the upcoming new AXiO range of products and provided a full demonstra- tion of the new AOne™. Furthermore, Aurora dem- onstrated how deploying the AXiO within various applications of an estate enables the creation of an immersive consumer experience whilst achiev- ing significant additional business value. AXiO is a B2B IoT lighting and sensory platform, powered by Gooee™, which a business can deploy across its estate to manage building intelligence and interact with customers and staff alike. This network of intelligent lighting generates data to enable insights into space utilisation, energy optimisation, enhanced customer shopping experiences and provides indoor positioning for wayfinding. This, coupled with the ability to know where products and stock are placed, allows for quick delivery solutions.
