focus on sustainability with its Everloop range of products. “The Everloop fittings and fixtures have been designed to be user friendly in that they can easily be worked on without needing an expert, while also being efficient as LEDs – it is well documented how efficient LED lights are with regards to energy consumption, as well as durable with far longer lifespans than traditional bulbs,” says Margaret Maree, Ledvance’s Marketing Manager. The new Everloop linear indiviled Gen 2 comes in two specs: the 1 200 and 1 500. “They are pendant luminaries with direct and indirect light emission from a single or light line office application with either 1 200mm or 1 500mm,” continues Maree. For Ledvance, sustainability is not a destination but rather a continuous journey. “This project is about more than just environmental awareness,” explains Maree, “It is about adapting our (mankind’s) behaviour, reducing global CO 2 footprint and emissions, encouraging more collaboration, and promoting our ethical business practices. This involves new product lines, annual reductions in CO 2 emissions by 1 million tonnes in transportation, and improved demand planning using artificial intelligence.” the energy from the sources must be dissipated by all the sinks in any loop. “Our Everloop concept stays true to the slogan ‘from line to loop’, and it promotes the transition from a linear to a circular product cycle,” explains the marketing executive. “This means that in principle, our Everloop luminaire housing has an almost unlimited life.” The components within an Everloop luminaire housing can be recycled and their materials used to manufacture new products. “This is in line with the European Union’s initiative to produce less and less electronic waste,” says Maree. With Everloop, Ledvance is hoping to promote a circular economy. “We chose the loop principle in our design so that rather than replace an entire luminaire fitting, users will only be required to replace individual light sources and drivers conveniently and easily,” says Nuno Paiva, Head of Professional Portfolio Management at Ledvance. “This makes everloop a sustainable and convenient choice for installers, planners, and facility managers, among others for sustainable efficiency of industrial and office appli cations as well as public buildings.” Benefits include an extended lifetime and reduced waste, as well as cost Ledvance’s Everloop range takes its name from the Loop Principle – Kirchhoff’s Loop Rule states that the sum of all the electrical potential differences around a loop is zero.
