BRIGHT SPARK THE GREEDY BOOKWORM A bookworm was wriggling towards a bookcase on which there were three volumes, in order from Volume I to Volume III, of the Giant Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Everything . Each volume had a front cover that was 1 cm thick; the actual pages were 7 cm thick, and the back covers were also 1 cm thick. If the bookworm started at the front of the front cover of the first volume and ate straight through to the end of the back cover of the third volume, how far did it eat?
